The NHRA’s Funny Car class is one that takes a heck of a commitment to be competitive, and McLeod Racing’s Paul Lee has found the right fit for the 2014 racing season. Lee has teamed up with Chuck and Del Worsham in the team’s McLeod Racing Dodge Charger Funny Car in a partnership that begins this upcoming weekend at the Circle K Winternationals in Pomona, California. Lee brings a wealth of knowledge to the Worsham’s competitive program, and this weekend’s outing will be Lee’s first Winternationals as a driver since 2011.

Paul-w-Atlanta-trophy-copy-e1383155484346“I’m excited to be teamed with Chuck and Del Worsham for 2014, a great longtime NHRA nitro Funny Car team. We went testing in Vegas last weekend and had some positive results and good data to tune from,” says Lee. “Chuck and Del have provided me the best opportunity to go out and win a “Wally” and I can’t wait to get to Pomona this weekend so I can hit the gas and show everyone what this team can do!”

As part of the partnership, Lee brings his company as the primary marketing partner. McLeod Racing is a supplier of performance clutches and driveline parts to the performance aftermarket. McLeod Racing offers race attendees an opportunity to work with the “Dealer of the Race” and pick up McLeod products at a substantial discount. This weekend’s McLeod Dealer of the Race is Performance Parts of Santee, California. From now through this Sunday, you can call Performance Parts at (619) 269-8565 to get 20% off the McLeod product line.

Also on board with sponsorship of Lee And Worsham Racing for 2014 are associate partners Boninfante Friction, Red Line Oil, Liquid MPG, Walery’s Pizza, Lunati Cams, PJ One, and Mesa Hose.

Funny Car qualifying will be televised on ESPN2 on Saturday, February 8th at 11PM EST and eliminations will be broadcast on Sunday at 8PM EST.
