If you’re a fan of the old school Nostalgia Funny Cars that have taken nostalgia races and hot rod reunions by storm as we are, then we’ve got just the resource for you. The brainchild of nostalgia flopper fanatic and Illinois native Eric Boyungs, the AA/FC Registry is a go-to source for all the statistics, schedules, race results, and driver and team profiles for virtually ever nitro-burning vintage Funny Car in existence, regardless of the organization it runs.

Curious as to just how many Nostalgia Funny Cars are in existence? How many different body styles are currently in use? What the quickest and fastest runs to date are and by whom? Or who won last months Nitro Blast in Cordova, Ill.? The AA/FC Registry, one of the best and certainly most well-kept drag racing registries available to the public, answers each of those questions and more with a wealth of statistics all updated on a regular basis by Boyungs in his spare time.

And the answer to some of those questions you might ask? There are 138 different Nostalgia Funny Car teams in the database, encompassing 119 different drivers, 54 different bodystyles, with 126 different events and 2,429 passes down the racetrack all accounted for. The quickest elapsed time belongs to Tim Boychuk, while some guy named Ron Capps ranks second with a 5.675. Need a driver for your vintage flopper? Might want to put Kris Krabill and his class-leading .087 average reaction time in the seat. Oh, and it was Doc Halladay in the “Telstar” ’78 Plymouth Arrow who earned the win in Cordova.
