It was announced via Chris Hamilton’s “BoostedGT” Facebook page that the final three Speed Promotions Racing (formerly No Prep Kings) events of 2025 have been cancelled. The cancellation also includes the $100,000 small tire race that was supposed to be held at GALOT Motorsports Park. This follows the cancellation of the Canadian events earlier this year.

The Speed Promotions Racing series was an extremely successful offshoot of the wildly popular Street Outlaws series that aired on Discovery Channel. Fans flocked to events across the United States to see their favorite racers compete. The series helped raise the profile in drag racing.
There has been no formal announcement from the Speed Promotions Racing team on the cancelation yet. However, many of the racers have shared Hamilton’s post and several cars have been listed for sale. Hopefully the series will be able to regroup and bring more fans to the track in the near future.
