You’ve probably heard the phrase “everything is bigger in Texas”. Michael Hollis and Barrett Green of Doomsday Productions took this phrase to heart when they created Texas Radial Round Up. In its fourth year at the Texas Motorplex, Radial Round Up would feature nine classes. From Limited Drag Radial to Power Wheels, there was something for everyone. With plenty of sunshine and horsepower, it was destined to be a weekend filled with 1/8th mile excitement of epic proportions.

Extreme Street’s “The Great 128” took center stage for 2025. Determined by a chip draw, the E.T. would be capped at 5.06. With 80 drivers battling it out for a $10,000 payday, it would take tenacity and stamina to emerge victorious. After working their way through the field, it would be Michael Yielding lining up against Alexis Zarate in the finals. Yielding was able to fend off Zarate, turning the win light on and parking his Dodge Dart in the Winner’s Circle.

The Texas Motorplex track surface was up to the challenge of taking on all the power Limited Drag Radial racers could throw at it. Justin Martin made the trip to Texas with his infamous orange, HED-powered Nova to qualify number one with a 3.95 at 195 mph. Devin Brown, in his ProCharged Camaro, had trouble keeping the front end on the ground throughout the weekend, but was able to meet up with Martin in the finals. Brown spun the tires before the 60-foot marker, while Martin laid down an impressive 3.87 at 196 mph for the win.

Ultra Street turned out to be an all-nitrous final, with both competitors carrying Nitrous Outlet on board. Terry Wilson’s SN-95 Mustang proved to be unbeatable to the end, outrunning the Fox body Mustang of Mark Browne.

Elliot Nourvle, better known as “Coach” throughout DFW, hosted Coach’s Varsity N/T Small Tire Shootout. The field was stacked with heavy hitters. With names like Russell Stone, Cody Jones, Kevin Hargett, and Scott Taylor, the N/T Small Tire title was going to be an all-out brawl to the end. After the dust settled, Scott Taylor would emerge as the victor of the shootout.

The ever-popular Cheap Street saw a slew of competitive rides ready to try their hand at hitting the mystery index. Cheap Street is another class where E.T. cap is determined by chip draw shortly before the first round. The 6.75 chip was drawn to set the cap for the night. Dicki McFarland proved he could consistently hit the number. Wheeling his first-generation Camaro straight to the winner’s circle against Josh Peterson, whose unyielding charge to the finals fell just shy of McFarland at the stripe.

Modern Muscle is dedicated to 2010 and newer street style vehicles. Bill Parker, of 820 Performance, brought out his ProCharged Corvette to try and obliterate the field. Lesli Hudelson established that her beastly CTS V belonged in the finals alongside Parker, but in the end, Hudelson was unable to secure the win.
Kyle Swanson’s turbocharged El Camino fought off DakotaLSX’s nitrous-powered Mustang in the finals to capture the win in Quick Street.
Jr. Dragsters came out in full force, with over 30 entries on Friday and Saturday night. Hunter Millican remained the last one standing in a 33-car field Friday night, while Cody Peak showed he had what it takes to reign as champion over 36 other racers Saturday night.

The real stars of the event were the kids in the Power Wheels race. Each year, kids as young as three go head-to-head with others their age. Some bring modified cars, others may be using one of the loaner cars provided by the event. Regardless of the difference in speed or who won, they do it with joy, excitement, high fives, and hugs. This year, Parker brought his highly modified Lightning McQueen out to give it his all and came away with the victory, dominating anyone who dared to line up against him.
Texas Radial Round Up is a staple of the DFW racing community, and to many outside of Texas. It’s more than just a drag racing event, it brings people together from all walks of life who share the same love and passion for the sport. Radial Round Up embodies true southern hospitality that generations will surely remember.
