The market for garage equipment just got more competitive, as BendPak has officially launched its new APEX Ramps. APEX promises to deliver the engineering and reliability BendPak is known for, but at a price point that makes sense for the home garage. The brand debuts with a comprehensive lineup of APEX Ramps, designed to handle everything from long-term storage to getting low cars onto a trailer.
Unlike traditional steel or cheap plastic ramps, the new APEX lineup utilizes a high-density expanded polystyrene (EPS) core. This solid-core design is incredibly lightweight yet strong enough to support thousands of pounds without denting or rusting. The closed-cell structure resists oil, water, and automotive chemicals, making them perfect for messy shop environments. A unique feature across the range is the integrated thermoplastic handle molded directly into the ramp body, ensuring it never loosens or corrodes over time.
The launch includes specialized ramps for specific automotive needs. The Tire-Saver Ramps cradle tires during long-term storage, preventing the flat spots that ruin expensive rubber. They also double as a service aid, providing an extra 2.5 inches of clearance for getting jacks under low vehicles. For general maintenance, the Garage Ramps offer a stable, nonslip platform with a gradual incline to protect splitters, plus an integrated tire stopper to prevent accidental roll-offs.

Loading a low-profile car onto a trailer or lift can be a nerve-wracking experience, but the new APEX Ramps provide a solution. The Trailer Ramps feature a reinforced UHMW insert at the contact point to prevent wear and ensure a smooth transition. Similarly, the Four-Post Lift Ramps offer a lightweight alternative to heavy steel ramps. They use an innovative hook design to lock securely onto the lift runways and feature an internal S-shaped insert for true mechanical strength, eliminating the separation issues common with other foam products.
Over the coming months, BendPak plans to expand the APEX line with two-post lifts, tire changers, and wheel balancers. Tyler Rex, BendPak’s senior director of marketing, said, “Choose APEX when you want BendPak fundamentals at a price that protects your budget. In both cases, you get equipment that we would put in our own shops or garages.”
