Lamborghini knows how to design and build high-performance vehicles with an elegant feel. But Lamborghini’s definition of high performance is slightly different than that of those chasing a max-effort build. Chris brought his 2024 Lamborghini Huracán STO to the team at T1 Race Development, and they turned it into a 2,000-horsepower street beast.
The Huracán STO came from Lamborghini with a healthy 5.2-liter V10 that cranked out a stout 631 horsepower and is backed by a seven-speed transmission. Off the showroom floor, this combination can lay down mid-10-second passes in the quarter mile at 135 mph.
When Chris dropped his STO off at T1 Race Development, it was already making more power than a stock STO thanks to a Virtual Works turbo kit. The rest of the car was pretty much stock, which meant T1 Race Development had a clean Italian canvas to work with when the build began.
Making 2,000 horsepower is no small feat, so T1 Race Development used its T1 V10 Stage 2 long-block as the backbone of the engine. A DSX Tuning intake manifold was added, and a pair of Precision Turbo 6875 turbos provide the boost. A total of 20 Injector Dynamics fuel injectors feed the V10, while a MoTeC ECU controls everything.

You can make all the horsepower in the world, but if you can’t put it to the pavement, what good is it? A Shep Stage 6 transmission was tasked with delivering the power to the tires. Chris’s STO rolls on Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS front tires mounted on 19×9 Forgeline Wheels one-piece forged monoblock VX1R wheels, while the rear features Mickey Thompson Tires ET Street S/S tires wrapped around 18×12 Forgeline forged monoblock VX1R beadlock wheels.
The next time someone tries to tell you that a 2,000-horsepower street car can’t be comfortable, show them Chris’s Huracán STO. This car combines blistering horsepower and comfort into one seriously impressive package.
