John Force has been burning nitro for nearly five decades, and during that time he has built one of the most successful racing organizations in motorsports history: John Force Racing (JFR).
Running four top-tier NHRA nitro teams is no small task. As the organization has grown, so has its headquarters in Brownsburg, Indiana. Today, the massive 84,000-square-foot facility serves as the primary race shop for JFR and acts as home base for all of its Top Fuel and Funny Car teams.
The facility is much more than just a race shop. It also houses a vast collection of racing memorabilia, serves as the home of the Eric Medlen Project, and includes the Eric Medlen Museum.
A Shop Designed To Operate Like Race Day

When you first walk into the John Force Racing facility, one of the first things you’ll notice is the lineup of team haulers.
Each team works on its race cars directly out of the transporters, just as they would during a race weekend. This allows crew members to perform maintenance, repairs, and routine service procedures in the same environment they experience at the track.
In nitro racing, efficiency between rounds is critical. By working from the haulers at the shop, crews can continually practice procedures until they become second nature. Every task becomes muscle memory, helping teams maximize performance when race-day pressure is at its highest.
Testing Every Component Possible

Another area of the facility is dedicated to testing and development.
JFR operates specialized testing cells for superchargers, clutch systems, and fuel system components. The team evaluates virtually every part possible to determine what performs best before it ever reaches the race track.
This commitment to research and development has been a key part of JFR’s long-term success in NHRA competition.
A Massive Inventory Of Parts And Components

When a team needs spare parts, hardware, or clutch discs, everything is just steps away.
The facility includes a dedicated room for sorting, inspecting, and testing clutch discs. In addition, each race team maintains its own inventory of clutch components in a separate storage area.
There is even an on-site parts store where team members can quickly access the items they need to keep cars race-ready.
Force American Made: JFR’s In-House Manufacturing Division

A major part of the Brownsburg facility is Force American Made (FAM), JFR’s in-house manufacturing operation.
FAM includes:
- A machine shop
- A fabrication shop
- A paint and graphics department
Everything JFR needs to build a race car, assemble an engine, fabricate components, or prepare a body can be found under one roof.
Beyond supporting John Force Racing’s own teams, Force American Made also performs work for outside racing organizations.
