The Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series continues to build momentum both on and off the track. As the series prepares for the second half of its 2026 championship season, PDRA officials have announced the addition of respected motorsports veteran Mark Beatty to the organization’s leadership team.
The announcement comes just beyond the midway point of the 2026 campaign, with the series set to return to action in early August at Bristol Dragway for the Thunder Valley Throwdown. Bringing Beatty onboard adds more than three decades of motorsports experience to a leadership group focused on continuing the PDRA’s steady growth.
A Familiar Face Returns To The PDRA Family
Beatty isn’t new to the PDRA paddock.
Most recently, he served as brand manager for Red Line Synthetic Oil, the title sponsor of the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series since the 2024 season. During that time, he worked closely with the series and its racers, sponsors, and leadership, building relationships that ultimately led to his new role.

His résumé also includes stops with V. Gaines’ Western Motorsports, Bandimere Speedway, and numerous other motorsports organizations throughout a career spanning more than 30 years.
Following a recent move that relocated his family to Nebraska, Beatty found himself looking for the next opportunity to remain deeply involved in the sport he has dedicated much of his life to.
“I’ve been in this industry for the majority of my adult life,” said Mark Beatty. “Joining the PDRA team confirms the saying: saving the best for last. The PDRA family is made up of people who not only love racing, but they are also dedicated to taking care of partners, racers and fans at every level.”
Perfect Timing For The Championship Stretch
Beatty won’t have much time to ease into his new position.
His first event with the PDRA leadership team will come at Bristol Dragway before the series embarks on a busy seven-week championship run that also includes stops at Darana Motorsports Park in Benson, North Carolina, and Virginia Motorsports Park.

The condensed schedule means Beatty will immediately become part of one of the most critical stretches of the 2026 season, with championships hanging in the balance across every category.
PDRA Focused On Sustainable Growth
Series Director Tyler Crossnoe believes the addition reflects the long-term vision that has guided the PDRA since its inception.
Rather than expanding too quickly, the organization has prioritized consistent growth while building a series that racers, sponsors, and fans can count on year after year.
“I am excited about this next chapter for the PDRA series,” stated Tyler Crossnoe. “We have made a habit of taking the slow and steady approach to several things over the years and trying to create a sustainable and consistent product that racers and fans can trust and rely on year after year. Adding a motorsports veteran like Mark to the team continues to strengthen the leadership core that will take another step forward to making the PDRA product and experience better for every racer, fan, marketing partner, vendor midway participant, media member, track partner and more.”
A Natural Fit For The PDRA Culture

Series owner Tommy Franklin echoed Crossnoe’s enthusiasm, pointing to Beatty’s personality and industry experience as ideal fits for the culture the PDRA has worked to cultivate.
“We are excited to take this next step in expanding the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series,” Franklin said. “Mark brings a different perspective that we are looking forward to adding to the mix here, and that makes the future even more exciting. Mark is such a genuine person, so it was not a hard decision to bring him on board because he fits right into the family culture that already exists here at the PDRA.”
That family atmosphere is one of the qualities Beatty says ultimately convinced him this was the right move.
“It is an honor to be joining this team and family. Family is a strong word, but that is exactly the feeling you get around this series everywhere you turn. I have worked closely with them for the last four seasons, and now I get to stand shoulder to shoulder at the forefront of some of the best drag racing events on the planet today. I’m blessed and excited, what more could a guy ask for,” said Beatty.

Looking Ahead
Since its launch in 2014, the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series has grown into one of the premier eighth-mile drag racing organizations in the country. What began as an opportunity for racers to continue competing has evolved into a nationally respected championship that attracts hundreds of competitors from across the eastern United States, many of whom travel thousands of miles to race each event.
As the series enters its championship stretch with Bristol, Benson, and Virginia still to come, the addition of Beatty signals that PDRA’s leadership is investing just as heavily in the future of the organization as the racers are investing in chasing championships.
With experienced leadership, loyal competitors, committed marketing partners, and growing fan support, the PDRA appears well-positioned to continue its upward trajectory well beyond the 2026 season.
