Elite Motorsports is rolling into The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a Pro Stock championship well within reach and a track record in the desert that few teams can match.
The MOPAR NHRA Las Vegas Nationals powered by Dodge marks the next-to-last stop of the Countdown to the Championship, and the Elite Motorsports camp has every reason to feel at home. Its multi-car stable holds a strong presence at the top of the Pro Stock standings, and its drivers have collectively turned Las Vegas into one of their most productive stops on the tour.
Greg Stanfield Sits 14 Points Out of the Pro Stock Lead
Leading the charge for Elite Motorsports is veteran Greg Stanfield, who enters Las Vegas second in the Pro Stock championship standings, just 14 points behind first place. That’s less than a single round of racing, and with points and a half waiting at the season finale in Pomona, the title fight is wide open.
Stanfield points to the culture inside the Elite Motorsports shop, and team owner Richard Freeman, as the reason he’s in this position.
“This Elite Motorsports team has been working hard. We are where we are because of hard work,” said Stanfield. “[Team owner] Richard Freeman got everybody together and on the same page. Everybody’s pulling together. So when you get a bunch of good, smart guys together, we’re all working together, good things happen. Everybody’s on the same page, and we’re trying to help each other.”

With the pressure ramping up, Stanfield’s approach to these final rounds is simple: execute, stay focused, and avoid mistakes.
“For me, right now, it’s just about not making mistakes, and if it’s meant to be, it’s gonna happen. It’s just the right place, the right time. We’ll just see how it goes,” Stanfield added. “Every run I make, I just try to be the best I can and see what happens. Really, there’s still a lot of racing left, a lot of points left to be captured, a long way to go with this weekend and points and a half in Pomona. We just need to keep our heads down, work hard, do what we’ve been doing all year, and let’s see if we come out on top.”
Elite Motorsports’ Las Vegas Track Record
If there’s one place Elite Motorsports would want to make a championship push, it’s The Strip. The team’s driver lineup has piled up an impressive collection of wins at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Nobody has done it better in Las Vegas than Erica Enders. The six-time NHRA Pro Stock World Champion owns 10 career wins at the facility, the most of any professional NHRA driver, past or present. Six of those victories came at the fall Las Vegas event, with the other four earned at the spring race that was previously held at the track. Hall of Famer Jeg Coughlin Jr. has built a strong Las Vegas résumé of his own, collecting six national event victories at The Strip. Two of those wins came at the fall event, the same race Elite Motorsports is chasing this weekend.

Aaron Stanfield knows what it takes to win this race. He captured the 2024 fall event in Las Vegas and returns looking to add another desert victory to his tally. Tony Stewart has marked major career moments at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He earned his first Top Alcohol Dragster win on April 16, 2023, and followed it with his first Top Fuel victory on April 13, 2025. Stewart has won across every track format at LVMS, including the big oval.
