ANDERSON, DIXON, WILKERSON, SMITH, MUSI CLAIM WINS IN NORWALK

NHRA: Event recap here on DRAGZINE. Greg Anderson put on a dominating performance by winning Pro Stock Eliminator Sunday and the K&N Horsepower Challenge on Saturday to earn the double-up bonus, while Tim Wilkerson bested John Force in a rematch of the Bristol Funny Car final. Pat Musi won the GSA Pro Mod Challenge in his first NHRA final round since 1981. Larry Dixon and Matt Smith also grabbed wins for Al-Anabi Racing in their respective categories. IHRA: Edmonton native Tim Boychuck took home two Ironman trophies during the IHRA Nitro Jam’s annual visit to Castrol Raceway in Canada, winning two of the three finals he competed in – winning Prostalgia Funny Car both days and falling in the Top Fuel final on Sunday to Bobby Lagana Jr., who also doubled-up. Young Canadian Ashley Bart won Pro Fuel on Saturday in her supercharged alcohol dragster in her first IHRA appearance, defeating Greg Serada. The West Coast Pro Modified Association held their event in-conjunction with the IHRA, with Tommy Johanns besting Rick Distefano, 6.33 to a slowing 8.54. NHRA Division 4: The NHRA’s Division 4 Lucas Oil Series visited Tulsa Raceway Park in Oklahoma over the weekend, where Michael Manners won Top Alcohol Dragster over Chase Copeland and Lee Callaway got the Top Alcohol Funny Car Wally in defeating Chris Foster. Kevin Self won a tight heads-up F/EA battle in the final round of Competition Eliminator. Full results are available at Drag Race Central.

NHRA Division 6: The Lucas Oil Series tackled the Woodburn Dragstrip quarter mile in Woodburn, OR. Joey Severance and Larry Miner grabbed wins in their respective Top Alcohol divisions, while Brandon Huhtala won Competition Eliminator over Rob Harrison. IHRA Pro-Am Division 9:The IHRA Pro-Am Tour saw action at Dunn Benson Dragstrip in Benson, NC over the weekend. Brian Thompson won Top Dragster with a dead-on 4.66 over Lauren Freer, Jeremy Evans won a great Top Sportsman final alongside Jut Crumpler, and Clay Bullard won out in Super Stock.
