RAIN SHORTENS THE FIRST ADRL RACE IN HOUSTON

Things got off to a good start in Houston as the ADRL rolled in for their season opener.  New cars and new combinations were the talk for the first portion of Friday.  Jason Scruggs would experience an oil fire from a burst panel popping during the second round of qualifying.  Todd Moyer would the newest member to  join the Mickey Thompson 3 second club.  The new rain date for the race will be July 23rd and 24th, which will also future an new, additional race the same weekend.  Read More >>

Mickey Thompson Monday Morning Race Report

NMCA: The last three years in Bradenton had ended in a rain delayed Sunday and this race would be no different.  Virtually all eliminations were ran hours earlier with Chris Rini taking top honors in Pro Street with a 6.33 pass – being in the .30s most of the eliminations.  Barb Nesbitt would win her first NMCA race in Nostalgia Pro Street, which is actually suppose to be the last race for this Camaro.  For more news from Bradenton, head over to Street Muscle.com

1320x Australia: Street Machine of the Year Winner Angela Dow took glory in the Quick 8 competition, before competitors Brad Wooldridge and Adam Solomon shared the final honors of the Quick 32 competition.  To learn more about 1320X Australia, check out their website.

Pro Street Nationals: Racers competed across eight brackets – Dial Your Own, True Street, Radial, Modified Street Aspirated, Modified Street Blown, Pro Street Aspirated, Pro Street Blown and Outlaw in the one-day event supported by Street Machine. Taking the victory today were Domenic Luppino (Pro Street Blown), Chris Stevermver (Pro Street Aspirated), Scott Hoffman (Radial), Justin Simpson (Outlaw), Johnny Wilson (Modified Street Blown), Chris Biddle (Modified Street Aspirated), Ryan Hadges (True Street) and Paul Slack (DYO).  For more results check out the Willowbank Raceway site.

NHRA JEGS Sportsnationals: Nearly 500 cars showed up in Belle Rose, LA for the first of three JEGS Sportsnationals for 2010.  Stephen Rosen of Harahan, La., blasted to a 7.935 second pass at 168.45 mph for the win against Adam Hickey, Hammond, La., in the final of Comp Eliminator.  For more results check out Drag Race Central.com

IHRA: The next stop on the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour would be at Rockingham Dragway.  Brian Rowe would take top honors in Stock Eliminator, Howard McLamb would take Hot Rod, and Jim Cairnes would win Top Sportsman.  For more results check out Drag Race Central.com and IHRA.com.
