Having options for suspension settings is important if you want to have a race car that functions properly in a variety of situations. Quarter-Max has two different adjustable shock mount offerings that provide plenty of room for suspension adjustments no matter what type of racing you do.
The adjustable shock mounts from Quarter-Max come in a single- and double-sheer configuration that can be matched to how much power your race car produces. The single-sheer adjustable shock mounts are perfect for the sportsman racer, while the double-sheer mounts are designed for more extreme applications. These adjustable shock mounts also allow a racer to run their car in different configurations based on the type and size of the tire they need to run for a particular class.
Rickie Jones knows a thing or two about setting up race cars and he explains just how these adjustable shock mounts work.
“These adjustable shock mounts allow a racer to utilize the same shock no matter what setup or tire they’re running. So if you need the car to sit up higher or lower for a certain type of tire, these mounts make that easier. This way you’re not having to change your ride-height or springs, plus you’re not taking your shock out of position. The single-sheer is a simpler design and the double-sheer offers more strength along with additional adjustments.”
The Quarter-Max ladder bar and 4-link kits are designed to work with these adjustable shock mounts through the Quarter-Max Series, Pro Series, and Extreme Series lines of products.
