If you’re serious about racing, a set of scales needs to be part of your arsenal of tools. Scales with cables can be a hassle to set up, but Intercomp has the answer. Intercomp’s SW700 XBT Wireless Scales now feature Bluetooth capability, putting real-time weight data at your fingertips without the need to run cables everywhere.
The SW700 XBT scale system uses Intercomp’s XBT wireless weighing technology. Each scale pad has a 1,500-pound (700 kg) capacity, with a total system capacity of 6,000 pounds (2,800 kg). Intercomp’s software also provides baseline setup recall and center-of-gravity calculations, giving racers powerful data tools in one seamless, cable-free system.
We had the opportunity to speak with Aaron Van Heel at the 2025 PRI Show about the new release with the additional Bluetooth technology. “These new scales feature the same trusted and proven championship-winning billet pads but are the first to offer Bluetooth communication,” Van Heel explained.
The new scales are available with or without a tablet and are also compatible with iPhone and Android devices via Intercomp’s RaceWeigh software. They can be used across a wide range of motorsports, from dirt circle track racing to door-slammer drag cars. The scale pads offer up to 600 hours of battery life over the course of a year with typical use, and Intercomp’s commitment to precision has resulted in an impressive accuracy rating of 0.1 percent load.
With technology that delivers instant access to critical data, Intercomp continues to support racers at every level. You can learn more about the SW700 XBT Wireless Scale System on Intercomp’s website.
