ProCharger changed the game with its F-4X-140-1 centrifugal supercharger, and now the company has set out to do it again by updating this massive blower. The latest version of this unit has already laid down some impressive numbers at the track, and ProCharger is ready to push the supercharger even further with a fresh impeller, a new housing, and integrated V-band connections.
The F-4X-140-1’s new impeller underwent a significant aerodynamic redesign. ProCharger’s engineers weren’t focused solely on creating more boost with the updated impeller—they wanted to improve overall efficiency. That increase in efficiency allows the blower to move more air while generating serious horsepower.
To complement the new impeller, the F-4X-140-1 also received a larger blower housing. The increased housing size maximizes the potential of the updated impeller and allows the supercharger to breathe more freely. Since the housing was already receiving a facelift, ProCharger integrated V-band connections as well. These V-bands are built into the bellmouth and charge pipe, making the blower easier to mount and simplifying maintenance.
