It turns out, the strongest force in the state of Florida this weekend wasn’t the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defensive line, but rather, the christmas tree at the Bradenton Motorsports Park.
This rather awkward moment caught on camera occurred during this weekend’s Street Car Takeover event at the Tampa-area strip, when Sujal Patel lost control of his all-wheel-drive Jeep Cherokee SRT8 in a burnout gone haywire. Patel and company were at the event pressing the limits of the newly beefed-up turbo Hemi combination, aiming to push the 1,000-plus horsepower, 200 mph-capable SUV into the 7-second zone. Unfortunately, rather than a golden 7-second timeslip, they left with some needed body repairs after the Jeep hooked, spun, and gave the tree a little love-tap.
Stuff happens, and while you’d certainly prefer for your miscues not to occur out in the open for all to see, Patel and company will likely have the last laugh when their Jeep trips the timers as quick and as fast as they expect it to in the near future.
