When a major stir in ownership and management happened earlier this year with Capitol Raceway in Crofton, Maryland no one expected things to turn out the way they have. The “New Capitol Raceway” as it’s been renamed, is operating greatly and the racers are starting to prepare for a huge race that’s likely draw some major hitters from around the country. With $10,500 on the line to win in Outlaw 10.5, just about anything can and will happen. To keep up to date with all the updates, check out the thread on Yellowbullet.
At this time there are at least sixteen major players committed to throwing down everything they have for a chance at the big money. All the action will get started on Friday night, July 20th, with a first qualifier and then proceed on Saturday with the remaining rounds of qualifying and eliminations. Friday night will also feature a free bracket race for the first 25 dragsters and 25 door cars that run quicker than 7.80-seconds in the 1/4-mile. That’s right — free for the car and driver in this race plus the $1,000-to win purse, so it will surely draw a crowd as well as plenty of fans packing the stands for a great night of racing.
Names like Chuck Ulsch, Richard Sexton, Mo Hall and many more are headed out to Capitol Raceway this weekend to put on one hell of a show. Will you be there or will you miss what’s sure to be one of the best Outlaw 10.5 races all season long? Don’t miss out on all the action — get in the car and drive on out to Crofton, Maryland.
