The NHRA’s Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals is an event like no other in drag racing — the sport’s most prestigious drag race, it oozes with tradition and epic moments. Every Labor Day weekend for 62 years, racers from all over the world have made the trip to the hallowed grounds of the Lucas Oil Raceway to try and become a part of the legend that is Indy. There really is no other event like it on the NHRA schedule when it comes to how much prestige the race carries, or what it means to be one of the few who can say they earned a Wally at the “Big Go”.
