Intercomp Racing has created a line of digital air gauges that are perfect for serious drag racers. These digital gauges were designed to be as accurate as possible and work for any drag racing application. The updated digital air gauges now read pressures up to 150.00 PSI. This makes the gauges versatile enough for front and rear tires on drag cars, as well as larger coach or semi-truck tires used in transportation of a racing operation to the track.
Intercomp has two different variations of its digital air pressure gauges. The Memory Model is an advanced version which is compatible with Intercomp’s iRaceWeigh™ Mobile App, allowing users to store and analyze tire pressure data across multiple runs for consistent setup refinement. The Fill, Bleed & Read Model is designed for use with an air compressor or nitrogen tank. This version is perfect for shop and pit setups, giving users quick and easy control over tire pressure adjustments on the fly.
The digital air gauge displays readings to two decimal places (.01 PSI), a feature especially beneficial for high-precision applications like Pro Mod, radial, and bracket racing. This level of detail helps ensure rear tires maintain identical pressures, which is critical for keep a car consistent. Tiny pressure variations can drastically affect performance —these gauges eliminate the guesswork.
Intercomp’s Aaron Van Heel explains some of the other great features these gauges offer.
“All three of the new gauges now feature a 50-percent larger 1.25-inch backlit display, making it easier to read in all conditions including night racing under the lights. A 22-inch hose with a convenient high-quality angle chuck features two thumb-operated bleed-offs making for faster air bleed-offs for efficient pressure adjustment in the staging lanes. The gauge features an industrial-grade high-quality internal pressure sensor that is extremely accurate and durable. The 0-150.00 PSI gauges are selectable between .1 and .01 PSI and set the standard with remarkable accuracy of 0.1 percent while compensating for barometric pressure fluctuations,”
