A few months ago, we gave you a behind the scenes look into Andrew Alepa’s new Radial vs. The World C7 Corvette that may very well change the game for twin-turbocharged drag radial entries. As many already know, NFL star Fletcher Cox purchased Alepa’s world speed record-holding Ford Mustang in October 2015, and that left him without a ride. Thats when wheels began to turn to start one of the most detailed and modern radial car builds to date.

Each time you look at this masterpiece, you'll find another detail that you didn't see the first time around - check out the clean mounting of the fire suppression bottles under the turbo piping and beside the fuel tank.

Alepa chose the sleek 2015 Chevrolet Corvette C7 body style to platform his radial masterpiece, and tabbed Rick Stevens Race Cars in Santa Fe, Texas to build the chassis around the aerodynamic body lines. Tim McAmis Race Cars built the all-billet rear end housing to plant the power to the ground using Mickey Thompson 315 Drag Radials. A longtime friend of Alepa’s, Eric Dillard of Pro Line Racing, set him up with PLR’s newest HEMI powerplant, instead of the popular 481X in use in numerous cars running in the top radial classes.

FuelTech, Precision Turbo, M&M Transmission, ProTorque, Menscer Motorsports and many other companies are onboard with Alepa Racing to get this new hot rod into contention quickly upon it’s debut.

Custom header and turbo piping catch your eye immediately when looking under the hood of the C7.

Per Stevens Race Cars, the chassis is now powdercoated, and the body has been painted in the trademark dark red color scheme that’s become the norm with Alepa Racing. The monstrous HEMI is tucked between the framerails, and the twin turbochargers are ready to spool when given the opportunity.

The stance of this car is unmatched, with a slammed ride height to keep weight transfer, handling, and aerodynamics at a maximum in the ever-growing world of “finding a number” in drag racing.

Alexa tells us he’ll be picking the car up from the Stevens Race Cars shop soon and taking it to Ryan Rakestraw and the team at RK Racecraft for wiring, plumbing, and the finishing touches to be ready for pre-season testing. With 2016 right around the corner, the liftgate will be ready to lower this hot rod into the radial world as the richest payday in radial racing kicks off the projected quickest and fastest season yet for radial racing during Lights Out 7 at South Georgia Motorsports Park.
