Dave Hance’s annual Shakedown at E’Town, one of the most highly-anticipated and talked about heads-up drag races all season long, is less than a month away, and with each passing day the excitement for this record-breaking extravaganza at New Jersey’s Old Bridge Township Raceway Park steadily builds.

Much like in year’s past, the Shakedown will feature Blown and Nitrous Pro Modifieds, Mountain Motor Pro Stocks, Outlaw 10.5, Heavy Street, Outlaw Drag Radial/Limited Street, 8.50 Index, Pro Street Bikes, and perhaps the largest and most aniticipated category of all: X275.

ATI Performance Products has stepped up this season to back the incredibly popular X275 class at the Shakedown, which is expected to bring throngs of racing machines from all up and down the East coast and the eastern United States for what should be a battle just to make the field, much less walk away with the coveted Shakedown crown.

Said Hance, “t gives me great pleasure to announce that ATI Performance Products has stepped up as class title sponsor of the newest Shakedown E’Town class: X275. For the 2011 Shakedown race, the number one goal of our staff was to bring in the X275 class. X275 has grown to become one of the most competitive and exciting classes in heads-up racing and continues to grow race after race. Both Shakedown and ATI Performance Products thank John Sears and all the X275 racers for all their hard work and dedication in making the X275 what it is today. This couldn’t happen without the support of our many sponsors and we thank ATI Performance Products and the whole Beattie family for their support of this great event.”

Racers in the X275 category will compete for more than $12,000 in cash and bonus awards made possibly by the support of ATI Performance Products. ATI will also award a $500 gift certificate to the winner in X275 and pay contingency to class winners utilizing their automatic transmissions and converters.
