The final day of Sick Week 2025 at South Georgia Motorsports Park was special. Brett LaSala ended the week by securing the Unlimited class win and overall Sick Week title with a 6.241 average. For good measure, LaSala burnt the scoreboards down at SGMP with a 6.079 pass at 236 mph, not bad for a street car on radials!
Ed Ensor didn’t need a power-adder to have a good time on Sick Week. He smashed the naturally-aspirated record book with his 7.096 average during the week and finished the event without any major issues.
Josh Davis overcame a shattered windshield to earn a victory behind the wheel of Devin Vanderhoof’s Modified-class 1993 Mustang. Davis secured his second Sick Week orange helmet with a 6.577 average.
Graham Hays finished Sick Week with a 6.49 average and that was enough to earn a victory in the Unlimited Iron class. Fellow Nova driver Nick Reinhart took top honors in the highly contested Heavy Metal class thanks to his 6.930 average. Drag-and-drive veteran Glenn Hunter ripped off his first six-second pass during Sick Week, and then did it two more times for good measure. Those three six-second passes helped Hunter secure the Pro Street class win with a 7.017 average.
Things got WILD on the final day of Sick Week for the Super Street class. Bob Hess Jr. was leading Bradley Arnold going into the last day of racing, but a turbo failure put him behind the eight ball. After scoring a turbo from a fellow competitor, Hess was able to make a 7.655 pass to lock in a 7.453 average and the overall win.
Former NMRA series champion Darin Hendricks made his first drag-and-drive event count at Sick Week. Hendricks piloted his 1993 Mustang Cobra to a brisk 8.825 average to win the Stick Shift class. In the small tire Rowdy Radial class, Jamie Doller finished Sick Week with a 4.992 average and that was enough to win.
Cooper Bogetti decided to try drag-and-drive racing for the first time with his 2JZ-powered 1999 Camaro. That decision paid off and Bogetti won the Sick Week Freaks class thanks to an 8.847 average. Randy Seward dominated the Street Race 275 class and averaged an 8.506 to earn another orange helmet.
The Sick Street Race class saw Kein Bolger and his 1987 Buick Regal finish the week with an 8.583 average to snag the class win. Jeremy Bonnett drove his 1933 Willys to an 8.888 average and the win in the Gassers vs Hot Rods vs Beetles class. Consistency is key in the Dial-Your-Own (DYO) and Pro DYO classes. Azeem Sheikh picked up the Pro DYO win while Will Stoneberg got the win in the DYO class.
