It’s a long haul from California to the East Coast, but the team at Chris Alston’s Chassisworks and their associated companies like Component Drive Systems, Vari-Shock and KP Components have loaded up their trailer and have plans to hit some of the largest races of the year in support of their customers.
The Chassisworks team has 24 events on their schedule in 2013, and finishes out the year on an East Coast swing to hit some of the biggest events of the season. Their August-October tour starts out over Labor Day Weekend with a visit to the YellowBullet Nationals at Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Maryland over the weekend of August 30-September 1. Next up, they’ll head slightly south and inland to attend the Holley LS Fest at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky over the following weekend, September 6-8.
The tour then heads to Indianapolis Raceway Park for the Goodguys Speedway Nationals over September 20-22 before heading to Donald Long’s Radial Revolution No Mercy 4 event at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Adel, GA over September 26-29. From there, the support rig’s final stop of the season will be at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, for the inaugural Shakedown at the Summit event from October 4-6. It’s a busy month for the boys from California, but their customers on the East Coast will appreciate their on-site support.
Alston’s products have proven themselves on the track, and we’ve even tested some of them ourselves, as we have one of their Component Drive Systems supercharger gear-drives under the hood of the quickest magazine project car in the country, Dragzine’s Project BlownZ.
