Cleetus McFarland Goes Wild At The World Cup Finals

Cleetus McFarland and his crew are no strangers to the World Cup Finals (WCF). They’ve attended the event multiple times with different rides, but this year they brought all the big guns to the party. In typical Cleetus fashion, it was a total adventure from the start and fans got one heck of a show.

Once the event began, it was all hands on deck. The team put last-minute touches on the cars, ensuring that everything was running at optimal levels. This included routine, yet critical adjustments, like warming up the engine with heat guns, double-checking the wiring, and getting the motors primed. Every crew member played a role in prepping the cars to reach their maximum performance levels.

With all eyes on the qualifiers, the pressure was palpable. In this stage, “Leroy”, “Mullet”, and the “Eagle,” were ready to prove their mettle. Aiming to clock in at 6.60 for Leroy and even lower for the Eagle, the drivers prepared for some serious speed and precision.

As the qualifiers moved forward, each team faced unique challenges. The drivers were setting and adjusting their strategies based on how their vehicles were reacting to the track. In some cases, they had to adapt quickly to unexpected circumstances. For example, Leroy faced issues with leaks that required the team to pull the intake off the engine—a task they hadn’t anticipated but handled with practiced efficiency.

The Eagle, on the other hand, took fans on a roller coaster of highs and lows. One standout moment saw the car clock a 5.93 run, an incredible feat. The engine’s roar and the car’s response had fans cheering for more. Yet, there was a nagging issue: the vehicle continued to reach its rev limiter. Despite the limiter, the car’s performance was awe-inspiring, demonstrating power and agility.

world cup drag racing eliminations

When it came time for the eliminations, the stakes rose dramatically. In each round, racers faced off against fierce competition. Mullet, one of the team’s most promising cars, began strong, but eventually lost power unexpectedly, leaving the driver without the edge he needed to finish the race at his fastest.

One of the more emotional moments came with the Eagle’s elimination. The team knew the car had potential to win, and with every pass, it seemed to come closer to perfection. Unfortunately, a missed gear left them just shy of victory, bringing an end to their hopes for a top-place finish. Though the defeat was tough, the team took it in stride, focusing on what they could improve for future races.

scene from the race

While the World Cup drag racing event ended without a championship win, it provided an invaluable experience for the team. They discovered new insights about their cars and how to adjust their strategies in future races. The event was a test of resilience, preparation, and on-the-spot problem-solving, and despite the challenges, the team left feeling proud of their progress.

The weekend’s racing brought moments of speed, adrenaline, and close finishes, all underscoring the spirit of competition. For the fans, it was an exhilarating event full of twists and turns. And for the racers and their crews, it was a chance to push their limits, confront challenges, and look forward to the next opportunity to claim victory.
