Shannon Davis and his company, Davis Technologies, have been making some of the biggest technological advancements in drag racing over the last handful of years that have helped curate some mind-bending performances. The products Davis has developed have armed racers with the tools they need to push their cars to levels never imagined.
Davis has been awarded several patents recently and has more on the way that will influence drag racing performances even more in the future.
The advancements that have been rolling out of Davis Technologies have built upon their predecessors and largely created a high-tech ecosystem of devices, including traction control and wheel speed management, staging-assist devices, vehicle position sensors, and advanced solid state relay systems. All of these items were designed by Davis and his team with racers in mind so they could perform their best at the track. Spending years in the racing industry at different levels gave Davis the vision to make sure all of his products could work with other electronics.
Never being one to settle, Davis has continued working on developing new ideas like a Vehicle Position Sensor that will help keep racers safe by keeping cars on the track and avoiding disastrous crashes. That desire to push the envelope of racing technology even further has motivated Davis to continually develop products and to secure some patents for these groundbreaking ideas.
Davis Technologies recently announced on their website they were awarded two new patents and have four more pending for additional products in the pipeline. As of now, Davis hasn’t released any exact details on what these patents relate to, and unless you’re an engineer or a programmer they might be a little over your head, but they appear to be some interesting programming items for future products.
