‘Tis the season for prospective sponsors to dot their I’s and cross their T’s on contracts for the new year, and the NMRA, NMCA, and NMCA West series have been busy this holiday season signing new official series and class sponsors for the 2013 racing season. In addition to a host of other new and/or increased partnerships for the new year, the NMCA announced last week that automotive performance icon Edelbrock has teamed up with their popular new West coast-based NMCA West event series for the 2013 drag racing season as the official class sponsor of the Super Quick category.

The Edelbock Super Quick class is a dial-in bracket racing category that’s designed for drag racing vehicles of all varieties, including dragsters, doorslammers, roadsters, altereds, and pickup trucks. Edelbrock, as one of the industries’ leading suppliers of hardcore racing parts for the enthusiast and the diehard racer, is considered by the NMCA staff a perfect fit for this grass roots bracket eliminator.

Super Quick features an open test-n-tune on Friday at the NMCA West events, followed by a Dial-In for Dollars run off on Saturday evening. This unique race offers a 50% pay-back of all total paid entries to the winner that runs closest to their dial-in without breaking out. Following time trials on both Friday and Saturday and the Dial-In for Dollars, a full day of eliminations is contested on Sunday.

Super Quick is an official NMCA West category, requiring a class designation and a permanent NMCA West number for the purposes of recording points over the course of the season.

Edelbrock has seven locations in the NMCA West’s home base of California, totaling more than 50,000 square feet of space. This includes facilities for R&D, manufacturing, testing facilities, advertising, and tech support for their extensive product line that includes cylinder heads, intakes, nitrous kits and components, exhaust, and much more.
