Event Preview: Funny Car Chaos at Penwell Knights

With more than $30,000 up for grabs in payouts, the world’s only outlaw funny car championship series blasts into Odessa, Texas, on May 14-15, 2021 for the Funny Car Chaos race at Penwell Knights Raceway at Caprock Motorplex.

Two days of wild, all-out, heads-up funny car racing also includes a special jet vs turbo diesel dragster match race as well as exciting competition from the Dirty South Gassers. Two index classes, the special Junior Dragster Shootout, and the winner-takes-all No Time Outlaw Small Tire Chaos Invitational category for drivers on 275s or 10.5-inch tires will amp up the action even more although the famous funny cars are sure to take center stage.

With over two dozen of the wildest funny cars from the United States and Canada already pre-entered, fans will love watching these nostalgic machines and classic hot rods put on an old school drag racing show that’s unlike anything else on the planet.
