Meziere’s new Safety Locking Radiator Cap is a product that addresses a possible safety issue most don’t think about in an attractive billet package.

With the pressure on a cooling system, a standard radiator cap can fail, putting fluid down at the worst possible time during a run at the track. An ordinary radiator cap is made of lightweight stamped steel that can deform over time with the cycling of the cooling system.

The tangs of the caps can also begin to wear, causing them to incorrectly interface with the neck of the radiator itself. Meziere recognized this issue and developed their Safety Locking Radiator Cap to help keep the radiator cap locked in place at all times.

The patent pending locking feature on cap uses a stainless steel retaining pin and locking shell to secure it to the cap in place on the radiator. The cap system is made of billet aluminum to make it much stronger than the standard cap and to prevent any type of warping over time. Each cap can be purchased in a variety of finishes and different pressure ratings to match the application for each cooling system.
