Burns Stainless LLC has now made available their Ultralight Racing Mufflers with extra duty scrubble packing. These Heavy Duty Scrubble mufflers may be purchased directly online.

Scrubble is an extra duty muffler packing material used to pack mufflers that will be used in extreme applications where the standard glasmat packing will not withstand the high exhaust temperatures and pressure wave action. The innovative scrubble material is made from 304 stainless steel, can be easily packed into the innovative repackable mufflers and is very durable. Not only is the scrubble durable, it also is a great heat absorber which allows the lightweight mufflers to withstand high exhaust temperatures. Though sound attenuation is not as good as the standard glasmat packing material, scrubble will far outlast the glasmat packing. “We have found that many of our customers running extreme applications require mufflers packed with scrubble, and have decided to make it easier for them to purchase the mufflers with scrubble packing,” says Vince Roman, Technical Director of Burns Stainless LLC.
