Following adjustments to its Mello Mello Drag Racing Series schedule as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, NHRA officials today revealed the revised schedules for its limited-schedule programs, including the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Series presented by J&A Service, the Mickey Thompson Tires NHRA Top Fuel Harley Series, the SAMTech.edu NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Series and the Mountain Motor Pro Stock category.
Pro Modified will retain its 12-race schedule, while Top Fuel Harley will compete at 10 events, Factory Stock Showdown eight, and Mountain Motor Pro Stock two.
Pro Modified will now compete at Norwalk and the fall Charlotte event, as both the spring Charlotte race and Richmond have both been eliminated from the campaign. Top Fuel Harley will now race at Gainesville and the fall Las Vegas event, in losing Epping and Charlotte from the schedule. Factory Stock Showdown will now race at Charlotte in the fall and Dallas. Mountain Motor Pro Stock, set for six races in 2020, will be reduced to four: Chicago, Denver, Brainerd, and St. Louis.
Tentative schedule announcements for postponed events on the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series are still to be announced. The NHRA asserts that all sanctioned drag racing series competition is still suspended until further notice.
