
Northeast drag racing icon Frank Aragona, Jr. passed away Friday following a lengthy battle with a rare form of cancer.
One of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series’ most decorated competitors, Aragona, Jr. scored 16 national and 40 divisional event wins in his career, earned seven division titles, and three Competition Eliminator world championships (2007, 2018, and 2019). Aragona was inducted into the NHRA Northeast Division Hall of Fame at the recent Division 1 awards banquet, with his children Emma and Frank accepting the award on his behalf.
