Drag racing is great for so many reasons, but the fun can turn tragic when things go wrong. Ed Robbins was killed at Jackson Dragway on Saturday night in a single car incident.
Jackson Dragway is a small eighth-mile track nestled in the countryside of Western Tennessee between Nashville and Memphis. The facility is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and popular local racing events. The facility attracts racers from the tristate area on a regular basis who are looking for a fun place to race.
The tragic incident took place on October 18th and led to all activities being canceled at the track. Madison County law enforcement officers and medical personal were sent to Jackson Dragway where Ed Robbins was pronounced dead. No further details have been released about the crash. Our thoughts and prayers are with the racer’s family.
