How about this for a gnarly little highlight video? Tim McAmis Race Cars was on site at last weekend’s season opening ADRL CarSafe Dragpalooza VII in Houston, as they are at races all across the country all season long, and captured some great footage of the many TMRC customers and others competing in the extremely popular doorslammer racing series. For those not aware, McAmis himself is now the acting CEO of Al Anabi Racing and handles the day-to-day operations of the ADRL.
TMRC really outdid themselves on this one, compiling a superb collection of clips from throughout the weekend that provide a great feel for the atmosphere and intense racing action that takes place at every ADRL event from many different unique camera angles, including some mounted in and on the cars themselves. They also managed to capture the wild, near disastrous excursion by the “Mad Man” Frankie Taylor in the final qualifying session from the shutdown area, offering a look at the incident that hadn’t been previously seen.
If you’ve got a couple minutes to burn, be sure to check out the video and relive the ADRL’s exciting opener, and while you’re at it, check out DRAGZINE’s complete same day race coverage, as well.
