Rig of the Month: Flying A Motorsports' Popular Bunk Bed Motorhome

With the big rig comes significant power. This motorhome is constructed on a Freightliner Cascadia chassis with a 600-horsepower Detroit powerplant along with a six-speed Allison automatic transmission, tandem rear axles, and a heavy duty hitch to handle towing duties for your race trailer.

This Rig of the Month features a top of the line Renegade RV Motorhome, one of Flying A Motorsports’ latest arrivals to its inventory. This style is a popular model for providing comfort for a large racing team during a big race weekend.

“This is a very popular floor plan we order often from Renegade,” says Alan Cape, President of Flying A Motorsports. “It is designed with a king-sized bed/bedroom, a bunk area, a Flexsteel Hide-A-Bed dinette that folds to a bed, and the Flexsteel sofa that does the same. It will sleep seven, give or take, very comfortably.”

Walking through the main living area, you experience the polished porcelain tile floor that is also heated when necessary. The kitchen area features solid surface countertops, induction cooktop, convection microwave, and 18-cubic foot residential refrigerator.

The 45-foot rig is also designed with other comforts in mind for the big team. Two complete bathroom areas are both equipped with showers. There are also three slide-out areas that provide plenty of space to relax within the RV.

“This is a 2020 year model that has some brand new amenities now offered by Renegade,” Cape mentions. “We also have a similar 2019 model currently in stock. This one features a 90-inch interior height and some very cool features, including a sleep number mattress in the master bedroom, Thermopane windows, and padded walls with wainscoting.”

Special comfort features are combined with enough sleeping arrangements for seven or more. Alan Cape tells us this motorhome design by Renegade RV is one of their most popular models for the "big" racing teams.

The front driving area features an open area roof providing plenty of standing headroom when entering the cab. Heated captains’ chairs await the driver/passenger along with closed-circuit cameras on the side and rear to assist the driver. The rig also features a 4-point auto leveling system onboard.

For relaxation and entertaining the troops, you can offer the Onkyo home theater system for the living and bedroom areas. Highlights include two 43-inch LED smart TV’s, two Blu Ray players, two satellite dish receivers, and a Winegard Mission In Motion satellite dish system.

To power all of the amenities, including the triple air conditioner system, a Magnum 2800-watt Inverter generator with Auto Gen starting system can handle the needs. There is also an Aqua Hot heating and hot water system to keep things warm when needed.

When sitting outside with your team and friends, a Carefree brand lateral arm awning is overhead with a lighted awning lead rail. There is also an outside entertainment center with 32-inch LED smart TV and stereo system.

“If a customer wants an outside grill and outside refrigerator, the truck is already set up with the proper connections,” Cape adds. “These are easy options we can install ourselves in our large repair and customization shop at our Cuba, Missouri dealership.”

Noted as one of Flying A Motorsports' most popular floorplans, the year 2020 model comes with some new features in the kitchen and sleeping areas. The Motorhome even includes a central vacuum system to clean up after a big weekend.
