The premier race car chassis shops across America have just got to be loving the interest in the sport from racing teams on Middle East soil. It seems as though every time you turn around, they’re debuting a brand new racecar with all of the expensive bells and whistles, and as multi-car teams, that’s a lot of doorslammers being churned out over the course of a year. The newest of these, and one of the swoopiest and best looking cars we’ve seen to date is the ’67 Camaro out of the Rick Jones Race Cars shop in Galesburg, Illinois, built for the “Iceman” Shannon Jenkins and destined for ADRL Pro Nitrous battle in 2011.

The Al-Anabi Racing ’69 sports a very similar scheme to many of the other past and present Al-Anabi team cars, utilizing burgundy, gold, silver, and black colors, although this latest iteration includes more black from the doors on back for an even more aggressive look. The car is the second such Pro Modified car to roll out of the RJ shop, with the first being the in-house QuarterMax machine of Rickie Jones that will run on the Pro Nitrous tour as well.

Jenkins is presently in Qatar contesting the eight-race Arabian Drag racing League that concludes in mid-Februrary and will return stateside to shake down the new car before its expected debut at the ADRL season opener in Houston. RJ Race Cars has put together a little video showing some of the angles and details of Jenkin’s new piece to tide us over until we can see it up close personal and in action in  a couple of months.
