As was reported this week over on DragBike Live, Team So-Cal, owned by So-Cal Custom Cycles, is set to campaign a two-bike effort in the Pro Stock Motorcycle category on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series in 2012. So-Cal Customs co-owner Dawn Baugues will pilot one of the tam bikes, while the other rider is slated to be announced at a later date as the two-wheeled schedule gets underway at the traditional third event in Gainesville, Fla.

The So-Cal Custom Cycles team has been a part of the sport of drag racing since 2003, when Dawn and company campaigned a Harley Davidson Sportster in ET bracket series races. After stints in regional ET events and working through the ranks in the Pro Bike and Top Gas categories the AHDRA with mid-eight second laps, Team So-Cal built a Pro Stock Motorcycle and began testing with Dawn aboard in 2009. That same year, Bauges made her professional debut at the season-ending NHRA Finals in Pomona.

Bauges has entered four national events over the course of three seasons – those being events on the West coast near their San Diego, California home base. Baugues had a tumultuous 2010 season, experiencing a testing session mishap following by the untimely end of their only engine at the Finals in Pomona.

Bauges, husband Sam, who is also co-owner of the So-Cal business, serves as the crew chief for her motorcycle, and is expected to call the tuning shots on the second bike, as well.
