There’s a certain level of satisfaction that comes from building your own engine, but it’s hard to beat the convenience of a high-performance engine that arrives assembled and almost ready to install.
Texas Speed & Performance (TSP) has built a reputation for producing some of the industry’s most powerful modern LS and LT engine combinations. Now, the company is bringing that same expertise to traditional Chevrolet performance enthusiasts with a new lineup of small-block Chevy and big-block Chevy assembled engines.
The new lineup includes 427-, 565-, and 632-cubic-inch Chevy engines, giving enthusiasts several proven combinations for everything from street machines to serious street/strip projects.
Small-Block Chevy 427 Engine

If you’re a fan of traditional small-block Chevy performance, the TSP 427 cubic-inch long-block is designed to deliver modern reliability with classic V8 power.
The engine is built around a Dart block and topped with AFR Enforcer aluminum cylinder heads. Buyers can choose between two camshaft packages depending on their intended application.
The hydraulic roller version produces 540 horsepower, while the solid roller camshaft package boosts output to 614 horsepower.
TSP also offers the flexibility to finish the engine your way with either a carburetor or an EFI completion kit.
Big-Block Chevy Engines

If bigger cubic inches are on your wish list, Texas Speed & Performance also offers a pair of impressive big-block Chevy crate engines.
Both the 565 and 632 cubic-inch combinations are built around a Dart block and utilize AFR Enforcer aluminum cylinder heads.
The 565 cubic-inch version is available with either:
- A hydraulic roller camshaft producing 700 horsepower
- A solid roller camshaft producing 760 horsepower
For enthusiasts looking for maximum displacement and power, the 632 cubic-inch package is available in two configurations as well.

The hydraulic roller version delivers 760 horsepower, while the solid roller combination raises the bar with an impressive 835 horsepower. All of these engines also have a carburetor or an EFI completion kit option.
Whether you’re building a high-performance street car, drag racing project, or classic muscle car, Texas Speed & Performance now offers multiple Chevy crate engine combinations capable of delivering serious horsepower right out of the crate.
