The IHRA continues to finalize its purchases of racing facilities around the United States. Kil-Kare Raceway is now officially under IHRA ownership. This facility now joins the IHRA portfolio of tracks that includes GALOT Motorsports Park, National Trail Raceway, and Milan Dragway.

Located just 13 miles east of Dayton, Ohio, in the small town of Xenia, Kil-Kare Raceway is a long-established motorsports venue featuring both an oval track and a drag strip. With a rich heritage dating back to the early 1950s, the facility continues to be a hub for diverse racing disciplines, including drag racing, stock car racing, quarter midget events, and drifting.

The oval track was originally constructed by the Marshall Brothers and opened in 1951 as a one-fifth-mile dirt track. After its debut event produced significant dust, the track was paved and opened for a full season of racing in 1952. It was reconfigured into a three-eighths-mile paved oval in 1955, a layout still in use today.

In 1959, Kil-Kare expanded to include a quarter-mile drag strip, positioning the venue as a key destination for both drag and stock car racing. Over the years, it has hosted numerous high-profile events, including the 2024 IHRA Sportsman Spectacular. The drag strip also maintains a strong presence in the IHRA Summit SuperSeries program.

Kil-Kare hosts a wide range of events at its drag strip, including big money bracket races, the Southeast Gassers make a stop at the track, and several all-motorcycle races. Kil-Kare continues to modernize. Recent upgrades to the drag strip include a new all-concrete racing surface with concrete safety walls, an Accutime timing system, expanded staging lanes, improved restroom facilities, and enhanced concessions featuring brick oven pizza.
