Popular NHRA Top Fuel pilot and former Lucas Oil sportsman racer TJ Zizzo and the Zizzo Racing team announced this week that they have expanded their relationship with Old World Industries – the parent company of the Peak Motor Oil brand – through the 2013 NHRA Full Throttle season.
The renewed agreement with Zizzo Racing will include an expanded schedule of at least 22 races and increased activation with the team through the 2013 season.
Based in Lincolnshire, Illinois, Zizzo will make his 2012 debut in two weeks at the Tire Kingdom NHRA Gatornationals presented by NAPAFilters.com in Gainesville, Fla., March 8-11.
“T.J. continues to be a great ambassador for our Peak brand,” said Peak Director of Sports and Event Marketing Brian Bohlander. “He’s focused on performance, and his engaging personality and accessibility to the fans is quickly making him an NHRA favorite.”
“I’m ready to race,” said Zizzo. “The Zizzo Racing crew is pumped up too. We’re taking things to the next level, and I’m thrilled to have the strong support of Peak.”
Following the Gatornationals, Zizzo Racing is scheduled to attend Houston, Atlanta, Englishtown, Joliet, Norwalk, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Las Vegas, and the Finals in Pomona.
As part of this partnership, Zizzo Racing will work with a number of local and national charities in line with TJ’s personal interests, including outreach organizations that benefit youth and animals. Information regarding TJ’s scheduled appearances and plans for the PEAK Motor Oils dragster to carry special charity logos at specific races will be promoted via Facebook, Twitter, and ZizzoRacing.com.
