TRZ Motorsports recently did some work on Tony Nesbitt’s NMCA Super Street 10.5 W C-5 Vette in an effort to aid in weight reduction. The Nesbitt crew has always been looking for new ways to reduce the weight on their Super Street entry. Last year they brought the car out with a all-new composite front end to shed the weight from the original sheet metal. Now the car has a prototype front suspension design from TRZ Motorsports, that they have now completed the jigs and will be marketing the kit very soon. The kit will consist of a K-Member, rod end upper and lower control arms and moly spindles weighing in at a scant 44 pounds. That’s a weight savings of right about 50 pounds over the factory setup and is a must have for any Vette owners looking to improve on track performance at the strip. With the loss of 50 pounds from the Camaro can help pick up ETs to near a tenth of a second, consistently. Keep an eye on the Team Midnight and Tony Nesbitt all weekend for the NMCA race at Maple Grove in Pennsylvania.
