Round 2 of the Arabian Drag Racing League (ADRL) just wrapped up, and Moe Atat, Steve Petty and Al-Anabi Performance have dropped another bomb on the heads-up drag racing world. In the final round of Outlaw 10.5 against well known American racer Todd Tutterow, Petty loaded in a tune-up to go for broke and the winner’s circle.

The shot heard ’round the Outlaw 10.5 world ….. can Atat and Petty lower the boom even more?

Not only did Atat wheel the team’s Corvette to the winner’s circle, but he also pressed deeper into the world record books with a crushing 3.879-second blast at 198.26 miles per hour, lowering the bar once again after qualifying No. 1 with the first-ever Outlaw 10.5 pass in the 3.80s, with a run of 3.89 seconds!

Tutterow, in his Al-Anabi Racing supercharged Chevrolet Corvette, posted a 4.02 elapsed time beside Atat in the finals but it just wasn’t enough to hold off the little 6-cylinder that could. Atat and Petty have had one stellar showing so far, with two races down in the ADRL series. They’ve qualified number one and won both events in the sinister Chevrolet Corvette, which packs the one-of-a-kind KH Series V6 powerplant under the hood with help from Alan Johnson Performance Engineering, Pro Line Racing, Billet Atomizer Injectors and Precision Turbo.

The Arabian Drag Racing League is made up of ten different categories, including Pro Modified, Outlaw 10.5, Super Street 8 and numerous bike and index classes. Pro Modified is always a fan favorite wherever it’s run, including the ADRL.

Speedtech Nitrous goes 1-and-2 in Pro Modified with Mike Castellana (USA) taking the win over Khalid Al Balooshi (Qatar).

American runner Mike Castellana grabbed hold of the event win today in Round 2 of 4 for the ADRL in an-all Speedtech Nitrous final round, as his 5.82 defeated Khalid Al Balooshi’s (Qatar) 5.83-second run, as they blasted door-to-door down the 1/4-mile. Turki Al Humaidi (Kuwait) won Super Street 8 with the Racecraft, Inc.-built, Pro Line Racing-powered Ford Mustang running out of the Q80 Racing camp, running a 4.20 at 202 miles per hour to defeat a slowing Abdulla Al Shamsi (KSA) and PMD Racing after losing traction around the 100-foot mark. Mohd Bourashid (Kuwait) ripped off a 4.04 at 175 mph blast in Pro Bike to defeat Mohd Al Darwish’s (Qatar) AAP Suzuki.
