“Nicky Bobby” Nick Taylor was unhurt in a high-speed crash in he and Mid America Kustoms business partner Adam Hodson’s “Uncle Sam” Camaro at the “War In The Woods” no-prep last weekend.
Taylor, competing in the Big Tire division at the event held at Indiana’s Brown County Dragway on Saturday, lost control of the twin-turbocharged Camaro at the close of round-winning run and slammed into the left lane guardrail, causing considerable damage to the driver’s side front end.

Taylor and Hodson returned home to nearby Fort Wayne and tore the Camaro down to assess the damage, begin sourcing parts, and get hopping on repairs. Said Taylor: “It looks like the frame is okay and just needs replacing of the front down bars, one motor plate mount, front suspension, brakes, steering, a little wiring and and cold side. Thanks to our great friends and customer Alan Robinson for allowing me to use a bunch of parts he had on the shelf for another build to help start Uncle Sam’s recovery process.”
