DEI Inc Racer Dana Thompson Dominates In The Month Of May

The level of competition in bracket racing can be downright brutal with races often being decided by thousandths of a second, so racers are always looking for an edge to raise their odds of winning. Part of turning on the win light in bracket racing is being able to control as many variables as possible with your car, including things like heat in the engine and its components.

DEI Inc. offers a wide range of products to control heat and their sponsored bracket racer ace Dana Thompson has been using them to pick up wins, including winning three different classes recently at National Trail Raceway.

There’s a reason why DEI backs Thompson, he is one of the best bracket racers in central Ohio with a fairly healthy resume of wins. He has won ten season points class championships in three different divisions and won the Sportsman class in 2016 at National Trail Raceway. In the month of May, Thompson went on a tear and picked up wins in the Big Dawg class, Sportsman class, and Pro class on separate race weekends by going a whole lot of rounds.

To help put his 1967 Camaro in the winner’s circle so many times, Thompson uses several different DEI products to keep the car running consistent and reliably.

“When fuel lines get hot in your racecar it can cause inconsistent elapsed times. I use DEI’s Heat Shroud and Cool Tube on my fuel lines in the engine compartment where under the hood temperatures are high. I use Cool Tape on various wiring under the hood including some of the starter wires to create a heat barrier and also to protect the wires. Since heat from the headers can affect the starters’ performance and reliability, I use DEI’s Starter Shield to keep the heat away from the starter for more reliable starts and longer starter life,” Thompson explains.
