Kebin Kinsley and the Hennen Motorsports Top Fuel team based in Denton, Texas successfully completed their licensing requirements at Tulsa Raceway Park on Saturday, June 21st. Kinsley and team are proud to welcome veteran tuner John “Bodie” Smith to the team service as crew chief in addition to Mike Jenschke serving as car chief. Driver Kebin Kinsley, veteran of the NHRA Division 4 Alcohol Funny Car ranks and drag boat racing, secured his final run requirement with a 4.69 at 305 mph quarter mile pass under the lights at Tulsa Raceway Park, a track mph record. With the licensing procedures completed, the team now has their eyes set on the NHRA Top Fuel debut, scheduled for the AAA of Texas Fall Nationals to be held September 18-21st at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas.
“We couldn’t be more excited about the progress this team has made. We have tested three times now and with the help of Kallita Motorsports, been able to make many successful laps to get our crew familiar with the servicing procedures and gain Kebin some seat time. John Smith has joined our team as crew chief and his ability with one of these cars is very impressive. We now have the confidence we were looking for and some great data to work with as we head into our NHRA national event debut this fall at Ennis,” said team owner Roger Hennen.
