Victor Alvarez, the owner of Bradenton Motorsports Park (BMP), announced earlier this year the 50th Annual Snowbird Nationals would feature a massive $50,000 for the Pro Mod class to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the event. That purse and the event’s reputation has attracted 50 of the best Pro Mod teams in the country, and now we have what could be the greatest Pro Mod race ever set to unfold at BMP.

Pro Mod racing is awesome because the cars can never be fully tamed, they really are some of the most unpredictable vehicles you’ll ever see at the drag strip. You can attend or watch any event where Pro Mods are running, and chances are you’ll see multiple drivers wrestle their race cars back from the brink of disaster to pull off an impressive win.

Victor Alvarez purchased BMP in 2018 and has worked hard at improving the historic facility. The team that Alvarez has surrounded himself with at BMP strives to provide racers with the best racing experience possible each week. The surface of BMP will be impeccable thanks to track manager Wade Rich and Jimmy Bradshaw who will be in charge of prep for the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals.

The racers that have locked in to compete at the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals is impressive. There are current and former champions from the NHRA and PDRA on the entry list, along with some of the heaviest hitters in the outlaw Pro Mod racing scene. No Prep Kings will also be represented by Justin Swanstrom, who has already started calling other racers out for grudge matches at the race.

The other big story going into this event will be the battle of the power-adders that will unfold during the race. When you examine the entry list, you’ll see that turbos, roots superchargers, centrifugal superchargers, and nitrous will all be represented by top-tier teams. The weather conditions for this race should also be stellar and that will allow each combination to shine, so long story short, you’re going to see some amazing racing.
