Keith Haney has never been shy about stirring up Pro Mod drama, and his newest hot rod, the “Black Widow” is already doing exactly that. The three-time Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Drag Racing Series (MWDRS) champion and series founder just pulled the wraps off a brand-new Jerry Bickel Race Cars–built 2025 C7 Corvette, sporting the first Cynergy Composites–redesigned C7 body to hit the scene. If early reactions tell the story, Haney’s latest toy is poised to become a problem for anyone lining up next to him in the near future.
Fresh off a headline-grabbing week at SEMA and the announcement of his involvement with KB Titan Racing’s new Pro Mod division, Haney says the timing couldn’t have been better to roll the car out to the public.

But don’t expect Haney to rush the new piece to the starting line. He’s sticking to a measured testing schedule, and until the Corvette proves it’s ready to throw knockout blows, the proven “Black Mamba” Camaro will stay in the spotlight.
“We’re going to open the season with ‘Black Mamba’ at the Snowbirds, no question,” Haney said. “That car’s a proven piece, and we’re coming in ready to fight. The goal is to have ‘Black Widow’ ready as soon as testing says we’re ready. Maybe we bring it out for U.S. Street Nationals if everything comes together early. But really, we’ve got our eyes on the World Series of Pro Mod. That’s the one. That’s where I want to roll this thing out and make a statement.”

The Black Widow continues Haney’s tradition of giving his cars personalities, and fanbases, before they ever take the tree.
“I’ve always believed cars should have names – they need personalities,” Haney added. “When you name a car, people remember it. They connect with it. We stirred the pot the last few years with ‘Black Mamba,’ and now ‘Black Widow’ is here to keep things stirred up.”
Built by Jerry Bickel Race Cars and wrapped in Cynergy’s bold new carbon-fiber C7 body, the Corvette is more than a showpiece. The combination includes work from Kryptonite Kustomz, Brandon Switzer and the Switzer Dynamics team, and Pat Musi Racing Engines. Haney says the collective effort shows in every inch of the car.

Haney is coming off a fourth-place finish in the 2025 MWDRS Pro Mod standings, but his footprint in the sport extends far beyond the driver’s seat. Along with his three championships, he co-owns Osage Casino & Hotel Tulsa Raceway Park and Tulsa Speedway with Todd Martin and is now working with KB Titan Racing to help launch their Pro Mod division in 2026.
“Pro Mod is in my DNA,” Haney said. “Between what we’re building at KB Titan Racing and everything happening right now in Pro Mod drag racing, this next chapter is about pushing the class forward – innovating, elevating, and keeping the excitement through the roof.”
Haney kicks off the Drag Illustrated Winter Series presented by J&A Service behind the wheel of the Black Mamba at the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals presented by Motion Raceworks, December 5–7. If testing goes his way, fans might see the Black Widow as early as the U.S. Street Nationals presented by M&M Transmission, but the big target remains the 2026 World Series of Pro Mod.
