“Practice Makes Perfect,” says Ebrahim Kanoo.

That’s the mindset of the EKanoo Racing team owner, and the entire ‘brain trust’ that Kanoo has enlisted has bought into that very statement. In the past six years, drag racing has evolved in Bahrain to a point of global existence and recognition. Kanoo, in that time, has established a well known presence and won every division that he’s entered since, also breaking various world records on several occasions.

Ekanoo Racing kicked off the new racing season in Bahrain with the bombshell that nearly broke the internet, as Gary White piloted the team’s brand new Pro Import GT-86 to the quickest and fastest import pass in history at 5.774 seconds at 399.05 km/h (248 mph).

EKanoo Racing was elated with the progress and performance of the Pro Import car ,but there are plenty more cars in the fleet deserving of attention. After the 5.77, the team then turned their attention to the brand new Super Street V8 Lexus RCF powered by a twin turbocharged 481X from Pro Line Racing. In comparison, this would be the equivalent to a Radial vs. The World/Pro Drag Radial-style class car, run on True 10.5 slicks.

After a few weeks of shakedowns and the first race under their belt, which they won, the ‘Red Hat Mafia’ were getting the new car blues worked out and rolled out of the box at the second event with a new Super Street V8 world record, along with the quickest pass ever recorded on True 10.5 slicks, at 4.17 seconds at 317 km/h (203 mph). Khalid Mohammad wheeled the deal once again to another event sweep by qualifying number one and landing in the winner’s circle at the end of the event.

Two world records? That’s enough, right? Not for Kanoo and his team! One of the most famous Ekanoo Racing team cars also rolled onto the Bahrain International Circuit and broke it’s own record. The teams’  stock chassis, turbocharged Toyota Supra blasted off a 6.608 at 349.49 km/h (219 mph), knocking the previous record in the head by a few numbers (6.63 / 217 mph).

Many people recognize the Supra from years past and it’s still a fan favorite whenever the crew rolls it out of the garage. One of Kanoo’s favorite rides, his turbocharged Nissan GTR also had a chance to strut it’s stuff, rolling into the record books with a 7.44 at 200 mph.

Kanoo has many other cars in the stable, including a Pro Nitrous ’69 Camaro that won the Pro Modified category in the second round of the Bahrain series. The ‘brain trust’ of EKanoo Racing is made up of top tier individuals, including Shane Tecklenburg, Josh Ledford, Jamie Miller, Tim Davis, Eric Luzinski, Haider Koozhad, and many more skilled mechanics that keep these cars race ready and in working condition. Be on the lookout for this team to keep making noise at the Bahrain circuit and around the world.
