If there is a phrase that best describes Justin “Lil Country” Swanstrom when it comes to racing it would be: don’t talk about it, be about it. Swanstrom is ready to show how much he is about the racing life at WOOOSTOCK when it kicks off at Darlington Dragway. At this event, Swanstrom already has one big grudge race lined up and intends to lock in more if the opportunity arises.
Swanstrom may be young, but he has extensive experience behind the wheel of extremely fast radial cars while racing the highest levels of competition. Over the years, Swanstrom has spent time in the class racing world and has also made a name for himself within the grudge racing community. It doesn’t matter to Swanstrom who, what or where, he’s always ready to grab a lane and race.
WOOOSTOCK is an event that Swanstrom circled on his calendar for many reasons, and he’s ready to make the trip to Darlington Dragway for a weekend of racing.
“I had a lot of fun at the event last year and was excited to hear it was coming back. Bringing back Radial vs The World along with all the great No Time classes just makes this event even better. The buzz around this race is huge … there’s a lot of racers coming from all over to be a part of it so the fans are going to get to see a ton of great racing.”
For Swanstrom, the competition at WOOOSTOCK is a big reason the event is so attractive. The level of racers that were at WOOOSTOCK in 2017 made it special for him. Being the kind of racer that wants to run against the best, there’s nothing better than coming to an event and having the fastest guys in the country ready to line up with.

Beyond the competition on the track, Swanstrom is looking forward to spending time with his fellow racers and the fans that help make this event fun.
“Being around this kind of environment and my racing friends are what makes the event so special since I do both class racing and grudge racing. Keith Berry, Lance Stanford, and Travis Harvey have helped create an event that brings exciting racing to the fans. You put all of those things together with Jimmy Bradshaw and his team at Darlington Dragway and it creates a truly amazing event.”
For Swanstrom, his main focus at WOOOSTOCK will be the epic-sized grudge race he has locked in for Saturday night against Al Boogie’s big tire Camaro. “We are locked in with our car, Armageddon, on 315 tires and we let them keep their big tires and wheelie bars. They hired Jay Cox to tune and drive the car against me. Having Cox drive the car doesn’t change anything for us; Jay is the best in the business, but I’ve raced against Stevie Fast and Mike Hill so that doesn’t change anything for us,” Swanstrom says.
The race with Boogie is Swanstrom’s primary focus for WOOOSTOCK, but he will still lock in more grudge races depending on what else is on the property.
“I really want to thank Lance, Travis, and Keith for putting on the event and Jimmy Bradshaw for giving us a great place to race at. This event is going to be huge with a lot of fast cars and I’m looking forward to being a part of it,” Swanstrom says.

You can see Swanstrom’s huge grudge race and the rest of the action from WOOOSTOCK April 12-14 at Darlington Dragway. All of the racing from WOOOSTOCK will be broadcast live on SpeedVideo RIGHT HERE thanks to presenting sponsor Lunati, along with Lithium Pros, SCT, FAST, Late Model Engines, Nitrous Outlet, Brian Tooley Racing, Flying A Motorsports, Gforce Performance Engineering, and Atomizer Fuel Systems.
