The Yellowbullet Nationals has become the outlaw racing world’s answer to the U.S. Nationals. Labor Day weekend, those who aren’t swayed by the smell of nitro make the journey to Rising Sun, Maryland, and set up camp at Cecil County Dragway, a place that’s hosted the Yellowbullet Nationals for 17 years.
Over the years, the class lineup has changed at the Yellowbullet Nationals, but the one thing that hasn’t is the level of competition. We saw that firsthand this year with tight qualifying and brutally competitive rounds of eliminations. That’s what draws both the fans and competitors: just good old-fashioned racing.
David Localio made the trip to the Yellowbullet Nationals for Dragzine to document the event. You’ll want to check out his full gallery of images so you can really understand what makes the Yellowbullet Nationals special.
