Brittany Force has a pair of Top Fuel world titles on her resume, and she updated it yet again when she recorded the fastest top speed in drag racing history. The crew chief duo of David Grubnic and John Collins dialed up all the horsepower, and Force laid down a 341.59 MPH run under the lights at zMAX Dragway during the American Rebel Light 4-Wide Nationals.

The previous Top Fuel speed record of 338.94 MPH also belonged to Force and it was set at the World Finals in Pomona in 2022. It shouldn’t be a shock to anyone the Force racing camp dropped another big MPH run, these monster passes have become a calling card for the Grubnic and Collins brain trust.

How big of a run was this? Force recorded a speed of 301.00 when she rocketed past the 660-foot block. So, in just 340 feet, her HendrickCars.com Top Fuel dragster picked up 40.59 MPH on its record-setting pass.

“We’re off to a great start,” beamed the 2016 Charlotte 4-Wide winner. “In Q2, this HendrickCars.com dragster went 3.667 and 341.59 mph. I didn’t know until I was mid-interview (with the FOX TV crew) at the top end that we ran that kind of mile per hour and it’s just something really exciting for every single one of these guys on this HendrickCars.com team.

“They work so hard,” she said. “My crew chiefs, David Grubnic and John Collins, and every member of this crew, and for us to be able to accomplish that together and hold on to that, I hope we hold it for a long time. It’s pretty special.”

One thing is clear: Grubnic and Collins have found a way to dial up a crazy amount of horsepower. The question is, will they be able to push Force to an even faster speed if optimal conditions are presented once again?
