Summit Motorsports Park plays host to the Shakedown At The Summit 16 September 14-16, and this year’s event promises to be the biggest yet. With more classes, bigger purses, and the epic conclusion to the Horsepower Wars $10K Drag Shootout all on the docket, the Shakedown is going to be exploding with action. For the 2018 edition of the Shakedown, the Bader family has added two new classes to the event line-up: Factory Stock and DXP235. The Factory Stock class is home of COPO Camaros, Cobra Jet Mustangs, and Drag Pak Challengers. These factory-built racecars will dip into the low eight-second range and provide some tight racing. The DXP235 class is small-tire mayhem at its finest, with door cars on tiny 8.5-inch tires trying to pound all the power they can into the pavement. There will be plenty of wheels-up action and adventure in DXP235 during the Shakedown.

The Shakedown will also feature the racing action for the Horsepower Wars $10K Drag Shootout. Four teams had 10 days and a $10,000 budget to build the fastest car they could. Now, all of the teams will square off at Summit Motorsports Park during the Shakedown to see who wins their car and $10,000. The pressure will be on and there’s bound to be drama when these teams hit the track, so you won’t want to miss what happens.

With Pro Mods racing to win $40,000, the fastest small-tire cars on the planet, and tons of Top Sportsman action, the Shakedown At The Summit 16 is going to be one heck of a race.
